Google Search: “for or against”
Out of pure curiosity, and maybe a little bit of self indulgence, I searched the key words “for or against” on Google. I wasn’t surprised that I didn’t find anything related to the show in the top 10 or even the top 100 for that matter. What did surprise me is that under the 30th “o” in Gooo…ooogle,” Ep8 – Mc Burrito pops up, and under the 51st “o” in “Gooo…ooogle” Ep9 – Hugging Paul Rudd appears.
However, the Google link will not take you to maybehip.com or even to maybehip.blip.tv/ (our video hosting platform). Instead the link sends you to something called mefeedia.com.
I don’t know what this is…
I know that blip has some sort of content sharing agreement with several other companies, but why would meefedia appear in the Google index before anything else? Certainly more people have watched the show on our website than this seemingly random video site.
I don’t understand…
In the meantime, I will continue my search for a more direct link to For Or Against. As it stands right now, I have clicked 61 “o’s” in “Gooo…ooogle.”

For OR Against: “Paisley Loofahs”
Hey everybody out there in internet TV land!
I haven’t written a blog post in a while, so I thought I would give my two cents in a commentary on the 4th episode of “For Or Against” – A Man’s Tool.
First thing’s first: The “laser sound” in rap songs. There are a few different types of laser sounds, but I’m kind of unsure about what they mean here. I have a distinct idea in my mind, but in trying to find songs that actually match that: it is virtually impossible. I couldn’t find any songs online with that distinctive “laser-totin’-cowboy” sound in the intro. It’s actually to the point of kind of pissing me off. Artists I know that are guilty of this are Lil Wayne and Flo Rida, but I can’t find them.
Next, I have a sneaking suspicion that Mike Mac and T-Box don’t know what the word “paisley” means. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing, in that they are two dudes. So this section of the blog is for them, and anyone else out there who is confused. I myself have never seen a paisley loofah. Now, I’m not doubting one exists, but….
Actually, I take that back. I very much doubt that the paisley loofah is in existence.
There are only 2 meanings to the word “paisley” that I am aware of:
1. “a pattern of small curving shapes with intricate detailing, usually printed in bright colours” -definition from thefreedictionary.com. I’d think they would find it pretty difficult to put this pattern onto a loofah, right?
2. Brad Paisley – a country music sensation. I don’t think this is what they meant. Although I wouldn’t mind being lathered in the shower by him.
I can only assume that the word the boys were searching for was in fact “pastel.”
Lastly, what were the different accents that T-Box used during that episode? I felt as though he was British at one moment, then Irish (a la Paul Rudd in “I Love you Man”), and at one moment he just talked like a snooty rich guy (Robin Leech or George Plimpton).
All I have to say about it is this: VINTAGE SHIRTS + HALF-BAKED ENGLISH ACCENT = VINTAGE “SHITS”. I am way against fake vintage shirts, but fake vintage shits? Now how could anybody not be into that?
Watch the episode here, And for more hilarity, check out For OR Against Wednesdays at MaybeHip.com. Go to twitter and tell us what you are For OR Against by writing a topic such as “vintage shits”, “Brad Paisley” or “T-Box’s accents” followed by #ForORAgainst.

Poll: Blazer and Blue Jeans
In the latest episode of For OR Against the guys talked about something brought up in the last blog post. The question was can any guy pull of a blazer and blue jeans. Michael doesn’t think that he personally can, so now its your turn to decide.

For OR Against: Michael, Really? Really?
Michael Mac again shows off his underwhelming music tastes by admitting that he is, among other things, a fan of miss Miley Cyrus (AKA Hannah Montana). It seems that he has started to make a name for himself because T-Box was not only unmoved by this revelation, but before Michael could even say anything guessed that he was a fan of “Party in the USA” a song that has been torturing bar patrons for the last few months.
No longer do you have to sit in a bar and wonder who actually likes this crap. The answer is right here to enjoy, Michael Mac. Please leave as many comments as possible making fun of Michael’s choice in girl’s pop music.
You can also check out his love of Taylor Swift in this hip short.

For Or Against Needs You
This will be a relatively brief post, but I hope it will incite a relatively long stream of comments. T-Box and I will be filming two more episodes of For or Against this Sunday, December 13th. We would like to start our show by reading some of the comments YOU have written to us about our previous shows. We would also like to discuss some of the topics you are passionate about.
So I’m throwing the gauntlet down (I think that’s an expression), it’s time to chime in below and let your voice be heard. I am officially challenging the entire Maybe Hip community to make this the longest comment thread to date.
Mike Winand is getting cocky about his current record (at the time I write this it is 11:55 on Monday) of 11 comments. Let’s take him down a peg together.
Go Team…
