See what Rob & Pat thought of the movie “Hot Tub Time Machine” directed by Steve Pink, and starring John Cusack, Clark Duke, Craig Robinson, Rob Corddry and Chevy Chase.  The movie is about a time machine that happens to double as a hot tub.  A group of three friends, and the nephew of one, travel back in time to a trip that they took in the eighties. One thing that bacon is good at is making sandwiches taste delicious.  The only problem is what about non meat sandwiches like PB & J’s.  This combination as weird as it is I find very intriguing.  I think that a nice crispy piece of bacon would go really well with a nice PB & J.  It bring me back to the days when I would shove a punch of chips in my sandwiches. Marshmallow part two: The Smore.  I believe that any camping trip, no matter what happens, can be considered a success if it is accompanied by the smore.  It is one of the few foods that is an activity in itself.  The question that I ask myself every day is, what could make the smore better?  It seems so perfect, but there must be something.  The answer seemed to be sitting right in front of me, while I was eating breakfast, bacon!!!  Chocolate and marshmallow melted around a peice of bacon and eaten between two graham crackers.  The idea seemed too good to be true, but only time a video camera and those ingredients listed can tell.

The epic saga continues with what becomes a two parter.  This week we are going to see what bacon tastes with my buddy the marshmallow.  Then next week we give the mallow a second chance where is really shines, inside of a melty warm smore.  But lets not get ahead of ourselves.  The marshmallow by itself has always been an enigma for me.  It was always the texture that would get me to eat them, but once I had a couple I questioned my decision to eat any.  But when marshmallows aren’t by themselves they tend to make other things taste delicious.  So if mallows make things better and bacon makes things better the combo must be delicious, right?

There are so many different foods in the world.  Some are good and some are bad.  I have been living my life believing that each of these foods could be better with the help of bacon.  From chocolate to pumpkin it has to be tastier with my friend Mr. Bacon.  Now that I am getting older I thought it was time to test out this theory.  Will you come along with me? great.  The first of many challenges comes in the form of a beloved breakfast food Pop-tarts.  This first challenge was a little daunting.  Who would ever want to mix bacon and Pop-Tarts.  Maybe the sugar specs could be bacon bits, but a whole strip of bacon?  Well we are all about to find out if bacon goes with Pop-tarts.

Well, today they went and saw the new Mel Gibson flick, “Edge of Darkness”, which I know at least Robby was apprehensive about at first. For a bit of background, the screenplay was written by William Monahan who also wrote The Departed, and it coincidentally also takes place in Boston.  In the film, a man (Mel Gibson) watches as his daughter is shot and killed. He then makes it his mission to find out why, and a number of crazy things unravel.
